Updates going to Facebook

Let me start by saying Patrick is doing well. He's saying a few words and sentences here and there while doing great in his therapies. He had a very nice visit to Pittsburgh last week and was able to enjoy being with some friends and family. While there he saw a couple of Penguin games which included an invitation to their morning skate and a visit with the players in the locker room. Many thanks go out to the Penguins for their continued generosity, interest and support of Patrick.

Currently we have two venues for communicate with family and friends...CaringBridge and Facebook. CB does not support videos and from time to time we have had a short video of Pat to post.  There are not many changes taking place in Pat's status,  so the time between updates seem to get longer. For the reasons of video support on Facebook and most of Pat's friends being members of Facebook, we have chosen Facebook as our sole means of communication.

For those of you that don't have Facebook, it only takes a few minutes to join and set up. Hopefully, this doesn't pose a hardship to many, but Facebook does have a better situation for quick updates, pictures and videos. On Facebook, Pat's page is listed as a "closed" group, but it doesn't mean you can't join. If you do a search for "The Pat Mac Fund Inc: MAC'S MIGHT" then request to join...it will automatically send your request to the pages' author and he will add you. (or) You can send me a "friend request" and I will take care of it...My facebook page is SUSAN PEVOTO MCILVAIN. Most teenagers and young adults know how to do this so if you have trouble, enlist a friend or neighbor kid.
